The year 2006 commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the emigration to America of two Hungarian cinematographers who have influenced forever the style and art of film photography. 2006 marks the fifth anniversary of the death of a beloved cameraman whose life and work are indelibly imprinted. Cinematographer’s Day and the American Society of Cinematographers proudly celebrate the achievements of László Kovacs, ASC, Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC and John Alonzo, ASC.
